J4 Racing Program Info and Rates

The J4’s will ski all day with a team of coaches that will work with each athlete at different times. The coaches will assist in special training sessions. This age group works on expanding and improving the skills that were introduced in the J5 program. The group focuses on directed and undirected free skiing 65% of the time, technical drills with and without gates 30% of the time, and tactical drills the remaining 5%.

The coaches will determine the race schedule. There will be between 4 and 10 race starts that will be at the discretion of the coaching staff. If you do not plan to attend qualifier races, please let your coach know. In January the athletes will compete in one or two open races. In February, the J4s will race in the BWL qualifiers to try to qualify for the BWL State Finals and the BWL Championships scheduled in March. All athletes are required to be members of both USSA and NHARA, our state racing organization.

Meeting Place:	Outside the Gray Race Building
Format:	Must be a member of USSA and NHARA. Will have 4-10 race starts.
